Being that we live in a tiny apartment, there's just only so much space. I once had a "bead corner" in the living room, which turned into a "bead wall", which then turned into a "bead room" (very very tiny but it's home). It is ever growing, just how I like it. :-) With that, however, comes the trouble with lack of space. I did some cleaning recently and started a project I had been wanting to do for awhile. Pegboard! Genius idea! I went to Menards/Lowes, etc and got all the materials, got them cut while I was there, painted the board, painted the frame, and hung it - all on my own! So I thought I would show a little before and after. I know, it's amazing isn't it?!
Two years ago, a handsome young fellow asked his professor if he could skip going to MN for a school function because he wanted to go to a jewelry show with a new special lady in his life. Fast forward two years, and here we are at that same show in Mt. Vernon, braving bad weather for the 3rd year in a row. This time, however, I am wearing a diamond. :-) It was that night after this show two years ago that we decided we were officially a couple! Thank you Dennis Kann for coming with me to all these shows, supporting me in whatever capacity you can. I love you! It's been a very busy year and I'm sorry to say that I have neglected my website and email updates. I have pictures of many items I've made but haven't yet had a chance to edit and post them. I have MANY new items to show you! My newest pieces are barrettes - beaded, polymer clay, resin - you name it. They are beautiful! I will be at the Mount Vernon Highway Arts Festival on Saturday, September 22, so if you are in the area, come and check them out!
